India recorded 67,208 new COVID-19 infections in a span of 24 hours, with the total case tally standing at 2,97,00,313, while the active cases dropped to 8,26,740, the lowest after 71 days, stated Union Health Ministry data on Thursday.

The country registered 2,330 new COVID-19 related deaths taking the toll to 3,81,903. The active cases constituted 2.78% of the total infections, as the recovery rate across the country improved to 95.93%.
